Flat stomach - mission impossible? These 4 tips will make the difference

Great abs start in the kitchen, not the gym, yes girlfriends, it's true.

A flat stomach is a subjective term and means different things to different people. We do want a strong and engaged core. Developing core strength is essential for everyday health and well-being, as a strong core protects the spine, reduces back pain, enhances movement patterns, and improves balance, stability and posture.

"Tips to a Flat Stomach"

These are tips I use to flatten my stomach.

Tip #1: Monitor your overall fat percentage intake

I did not say fat is bad, I said monitor your overall fat percentage and balance your macronutrients if you want to lose belly fat.

Tip #2: Manage your overall caloric intake

Ultimately a flat stomach requires some form of weight loss or decrease your overall BMI. And that requires managing your overall caloric intake compared to overall caloric expenditure.

Tip #3: Increase your cardiovascular exercise

There is no way around it, at some point you have to raise your resting heart rate to increase your overall caloric expenditure. This simply means you need to get moving! Walk, run, swim, bike, dance, do whatever works for your personality type and will motivate you to move - do it.

Tip #4: Work on your Posture

We all know by now that you "can't spot train". However you can be mindful of your posture, standing all, engaging your core in movement and doing exercises for the abdominal and back to create strength in your trunk will help to lengthen the stomach muscles.
